Job Overview :
We were seeking a remote SAP ABAP Developer with expertise in ABAP on HANA, OData, and Adobe Forms. This role required strong technical skills in ABAP RICEFW (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, and Workflows) and HANA-specific development techniques.
Key Responsibilities :
SAP ABAP Development & HANA Optimization:
- Develop and enhance ABAP-based applications following best practices.
- Work with ABAP on HANA, leveraging Core Data Services (CDS) modeling and ABAP Managed Database Procedures (AMDP).
- Optimize database performance using HANA-specific development techniques.
OData & Web Services Integration:
- Develop and maintain OData services for SAP Fiori and UI5 applications.
- Configure and manage SAP Gateway services.
- Consume and publish web services using SOAMANAGER and other integration tools.
Forms & Workflow Enhancements:
- Design and develop Adobe Forms, Smart Forms, and SAPScript.
- Enhance SAP Workflows for process automation and efficiency.
Technical Documentation & Collaboration:
- Prepare and maintain technical specifications, design documents, and functional mappings.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to align SAP solutions with business requirements.
Required Skills & Expertise :
- ABAP Development Expertise: Strong programming background in ABAP RICEFW (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, Workflows).
- HANA-Specific Development: Experience with CDS Views, AMDP, and performance tuning.
- OData & Gateway Services: Expertise in developing and managing OData services for SAP Fiori.
- Web Services Knowledge: Experience with SOAMANAGER and integration of web services.
- Forms Development: Hands-on experience with Adobe Forms, Smart Forms, and SAPScripts.
Good to Have (Not Mandatory) :
Business Objects Data Services (BODS) Knowledge – Experience in data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL).
