Job Overview:

As a ServiceNow Developer, you will be responsible for analyzing business requirements, designing, developing, and implementing solutions on the ServiceNow platform. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of ServiceNow applications and modules, meeting the needs of the organization.

Responsibilities:

Requirements Analysis:
  • Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Design and Development:
  • Design and develop ServiceNow applications and modules, ensuring adherence to best practices and industry standards.
  • Customize and configure workflows, forms, fields, scripts, business rules, UI policies, and other ServiceNow components.
  • Experience in Configuring various ServiceNow ITBM modules (APM ,PPM and Financial Management Process.).
  • Thorough understanding and exposure on ServiceNow ITBM Modules like APM, PPM, Resource, Timecards, Budget, and Investments.
  • Developing Configuration item relationships for Business Capabilities, Information Objects, Business Applications, and Application Services.
  • Working knowledge of integrating APM with other ServiceNow modules including ITSM and SAM.
  • Good exposure to Performance Analytics, Reporting, Dashboards, and Workbench development would be a plus.
Integration:
  • Integrate ServiceNow with other systems and applications as needed.
  • Develop and maintain integrations using web services, APIs, and other integration technologies.
Collaboration:
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including system administrators, business analysts, and quality assurance teams, to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather feedback and make necessary adjustments to meet evolving business needs.
Testing and Quality Assurance:
  • Conduct unit testing and participate in quality assurance activities to ensure the reliability and functionality of developed solutions.
Documentation:
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, user guides, and test plans.
Support and Maintenance:
  • Provide ongoing support and maintenance for ServiceNow applications, troubleshooting and resolving issues in a timely manner.
Training:
  • Train end-users and support teams on new features and functionality.

Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of ServiceNow core and best practices
  • Expertise in ITBM (IT Business Management / SPM (Strategic Portfolio Management) / Application Portfolio Management (APM) / Project Portfolio Management (PPM) / Technology Portfolio Management (TPM).
  • Including applications (Demand Management, Innovation Management, Strategic Planning Workspace, Resource Management Financial Management and Project Management).
  • Hands-on experience in scripting like Client Scripts, UI Policy, Business Rules, Script Includes, UI Actions, Workflow/Flow and ACLs along with Performance Analytics.
  • Experience in Integration (SOAP, REST, JSON and Scripted Web Services) with 3rd party tools.
  • Strong consulting skills to engage with customers during discovery workshops. Excellent presentation and communication abilities to articulate the value of SPM solutions.

Good To Have Skill:

  • ServiceNow ITSM & ITOM with CSDM & CMDB.
  • ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist – Strategic Portfolio Management (CIS-SPM) certification recommended.
  • Agile 2.0, DevOps.
  • Good knowledge of Agile and scrum practices.
